Brian Lewis House Christmas Lunch

For this year’s Brian Lewis House Christmas lunch, we broke with the recent tradition of dining at La Cucina in St Clements, and instead, chose to walk a few yards further down the road to the CuttleFish seafood bar and grill.

The CuttleFish – see http://www.cuttlefishoxford.co.uk/ – did not disappoint the assembled mix of staff, residents, trustees, volunteers and supporters. From the Christmas menu, your reporter particularly recommends the home-made fish pie with smoked haddock, salmon and cod served with minted peas, followed by chilled clementines marinated in Gran Marnier and spices with caramel ice cream.
