Services for residents ![]() Two cooked meals a day are provided and residents help themselves to breakfast and snacks when they wish.
Rooms and bathrooms are cleaned weekly. Residents may choose to do their own laundry or have it done by staff.
Additional help e.g. shopping, dusting, collecting a delivery can be easily arranged with staff at an agreed rate.
There are staff and volunteers available in the house from early morning to late in the evening each day.
All residents’ rooms have an emergency telephone alarm button for call-out assistance. There is also, of course, a compr
ehensive fire alarm system. The Society organises a regular programme of group and individual activities, sometimes going out e.g. the theatre and sometimes inviting speakers or entertainers to the house. Volunteers play a key role in organising many of these activities.
Brian Lewis House does not itself provide nursing or personal care, but residents or their relatives or sponsors may arrange to bring in such care if needed. Staff are very willing too to arrange for visiting services such as a hairdresser, chiropodist or carer.
