Sonja leaves us for pastures new
In a message marking the end of an extremely valued and appreciated term of office as the Administrator at Brian Lewis House, Jim Heywood, Chair of Trustees, writes:
“In mid-December our Administrator Sonja Swann leaves us after two years’ service. We have appreciated her friendly attitude, and her ability to talk to potential new residents and their families while they go through the process of deciding to move into Brian Lewis House. This often takes a combination of tact and gentle nudging!
With a strong administrative background, Sonja has also kept order in our filing and reporting, and dealt with suppliers of goods and services. She has updated and documented many of our office systems, and served efficiently as minutes secretary to the Executive Committee.
In the House, Sonja has enjoyed contributing to the family atmosphere shared by residents and staff. She has helped with the preparation of public events – as has her husband Dave, who has supplied and manned a plant stall at the garden party. Sonja helped residents with their technology, organised entertainments, and spent many unpaid hours at the house.
We thank Sonja for her dedication and wish her all the best for the future.”
