In celebration of the 65^th Anniversary of the founding of Abbeyfield  (Oxford), the High Sheriff of Oxfordshire James Macnamara CStJ TD VR JP DL visited Abbeyfield Oxford Society at Brian Lewis House on Monday 10^th June 2024.

The High Sheriff explained the history of his role and how this has changed over the years as well as his duties and responsibilities. Abbeyfield Oxford were delighted to receive the High Sheriff’s Certificate of Appreciation awarded for dedicated service and contribution to the welfare of the county. Chairman, Chris Furness said, “We are proud of having provided a safe home for hundreds of people over those 65 years and grateful to the High Sheriff for the recognition”.
