Recently, a resident, Jo Bossanyi, gave us a talk on the work of his late father, Ervin Bossanyi, an artist specialising in stained glass. Examples of his artistry are in Canterbury Cathedral, York Minster, Germany, Washington and South Africa.

Jo studied in St John’s College, Oxford and he and his family donated a window to the college, as they did to St Peter’s College, Oxford, which displays windows and cartoons by their grandfather. These are wonderful artefacts and a lasting tribute to Ervin’s work. It is possible to see these works by visiting the Colleges, as I did recently.
